AAMSAZ will present a cultural and educational experience by providing items of significance with stories of struggles and triumphs presented by knowledgeable volunteers and staff. They gather and share stories, images, and artifacts as they document, digitize, and preserve African American and Black life, culture, and history in Southern Arizona to benefit the community. In response to a survey of Tucson Newcomers Club members, the Newcomers Board has voted to require proof of COVID vaccination for everyone attending indoor events and/or events where food and/or beverages will be consumed, effective July 1, 2021. In order to attend this event, you must have first emailed a copy of your vaccination card to TucsonNewcomersWebsite@gmail.com. This policy includes all guests as well. (If you have difficulty getting through, email Kathy Schultz at kschultz5457@gmail.com) Alternatively, you may show your vaccination card to any Board member and ask her to send an email verifying your proof of vaccination. You only need to send in proof ONCE - we will record that you submitted your information and it will be noted in the system for all future events you wish to attend. If you register for this event but have not yet submitted your proof of vaccination, you will be receiving an email reminding you to submit a copy of your card. Self-cancellation is available for this event until February 6. If you need to cancel, please open the event>click on the ‘Already Registered Button’ and complete the two-step process to cancel your registration.
